11/17/2009 - JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- The MC-12 mission provides combatant commanders tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance in direct support of ground forces. The 362nd Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron stood up here in June 2009 and flew their 1000th MC-12 combat sortie in support of coalition ground forces Nov. 16, 2009. There were zero ground force causalities while the MC-12 provided overwatch.

It looks like the lens cover is still on the night vision binoculars is this just my imagination
